Christmas Elf Hat

I made these for my boys (not using a pattern) and they were very happy.

Using up almost 1 skein of Scheepjes Colour Crafter in the Red & in the Green.
Also using, for both hats, one skein Scheepjes Panda for the brim and pom poms, and using approximately 90-100 meters of the white Scheepjes Colour Crafter along with the Scheepjes Panda.

This is how I made the hats:
Using 5,5 mm hook and Scheepjes Colour Crafter using the Camel stitch (Half Double Crochet in the 3rd loop, stitch).

MR, 8 hdc in the mr (8)

*16 hdc in third loop, inc* rep rnd (72)
crochet 8 rows hdc in third loop (72)
*17 hdc in third loop, inc* rep rnd (76)
crochet 10 rows hdc in third loop (76) <- size for my 14 year old and my (big headed) 9 year old.

Try the hat on as you crochet and just keep adding stitches to find the size needed.
Depending on the size, the 8 rows and 10 rows are part of the last parts of the hat, to fit the head and not be to snug.

Brim:

Using 5,5 mm hook and 2 threads, white color, Scheepjes Panda & Scheepjes Colour Crafter.

Join the yarn around the back post of a stitch and chain 8.
Work the brim in the opposite direction from previous work.
Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and sc in the next 6. (7)

  1. Sl st around the back post of the next 2 stitches on the hat and turn. Do not work into the sl sts.
  2. Sc in the BLO, across (7). Ch 1 and turn.
  3. Sc back down (7).

Repeat from 1-3 until the brim is complete, turn the hat inside out and slip stitch through both sts to close the gap.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Pom poms:

Using 2 threads, white color, Scheepjes Panda & Scheepjes Colour Crafter to make the pom poms.

Spring Flora cowl – final test knit

Now the final test knit is done for the Spring Flora cowl. Next step finish the pattern layout and photos.

Icelandic horse – crochet

I just finished these two, Icelandic horse ragdoll by K. Godinez (godinez on Ravelry), the pattern can be found on her website amilovesgurumi.

The idea is a part of a wedding gift for my dad and his wife to be… Just need to find a frame and fasten them in place. 😀

Spring Flora cowl

The Spring Flora cowl is well on its way, need to get few of the sizes tested but so far so good.

I was so lucky that one of my favorite places to buy yarn, Hobbii, wants to buy the pattern from me, well I suggested a trade, yarn for the pattern… can never have too much yarn. So now I am adjusting and testing the pattern with Hobbii yarn, so far there is not much adjusting to do as the yarn I use is amazing, Hobbii Unicorn Solid, LOVE this yarn and amazing colors to choose from.
